Morning! It's Monday. Yesterday the kids and I spent our two hours of chores cleaning up debris, leaves and weeds in the yard. While they were working away filing their paper sacks I was pruning bushes and trees eight to ten inches away from our house. Here are a few reasons why you should take the time to get this done.
- If a plant is not leaning up against your home a bug (example carpenter ant) is less likely to find a way to your your tasty wood.
- This will keep plants and trees from brushing up against your house when the wind picks up in the winter. It will decreases the risk of damage siding or scratched house paint.
- Trim away any dead branches or shrubs.
