just read this . . . trust me

Last night I woke up as I usually do with my 1:00AM pregnancy clock, annoying.  And to get back to sleep I usually listen to podcasts.  I listen to TED talks, The Moth and Freakonomics (I enjoy them all).  The TED topic was smiling, I had no idea how good this little act is for you!  Check out why you should smile . . .

  1. Changes your mood (for the better).
  2. Relieves stress.
  3. Boosts your immune system.
  4. Flights off frown lines.
  5. Lowers your blood pressure.
  6. Releases endorphins.
  7. Helps you stay positive.
  8. Makes you more attractive.

If you are really curious here is the link to the TED talk I listen too http://www.ted.com/talks/ron_gutman_the_hidden_power_of_smiling

Yesterday I spent the whole day smiling.  Rather than just look at things I thought were cute (which is what I usually do), I smiled at them.  I smiled at the dogs when they were playing tug of war.  I smiled at this happy kid and proud mama in the pool.  I smiled and laughed when I was lifting furniture to help a friend organize her room.  I smiled at EVERY single idiot driver (normally I honk)!  I smiled a lot and then I realized it REALLY, REALLY did make a big difference.  Oh yeah, and I am sure I smiled at my kids.   :0
